This week, I share another one of my laid back musings episodes upon finishing the audiobook of The 5-Second Rule by Mel Robbins.
The 5-second rule is a simple but powerful tool that can help you take action and overcome procrastination, anxiety, and self-doubt. The idea behind the rule is that when you have an impulse to take action towards a goal or task, you have only 5 seconds to act on it. If you don't take action within that 5-second window, your mind will start to rationalize and talk you out of it.
It was a casual listen, but I have definitely implemented the 5-second rule in different aspects of my life, in particular getting out of bed to get my day started when I am not feeling too hot.
